FOUNDER'S STORY
I'm Destiny Sam-Omojevu — most people call me Dez. As a Nigerian woman who now calls Calgary home, I created NativPott to bring people together through food, culture, and unforgettable experiences.

What started as a dream has become a celebration of community, hospitality, and bold African flavours. I built NativPott because Calgary deserved Nigerian food the way my mother actually cooks it: bold, layered, and made with the kind of patience that doesn't apologize for itself.

Before the truck, I spent years inside the events industry — coordinating, catering, and watching what separates a forgettable meal from one guests still talk about a year later. NativPott is that lesson on a plate.

We are a small team. Every plate is built in-house, every recipe is something I'd serve my own family, and every event we cater is one we'd want to attend. If you're booking us for a wedding, a corporate lunch, or a Banff weekend — you're getting me, my pots, and food that means something.
